(((((((((((((iam)))))))))))))))
You made the right decision to get back into therapy so I'm glad to hear that you decided to go to her before things got worse. That means you know yourself!
As far as the group/hospital thought... Of course neither are a cure, nor a quick fix. Have you been in the hospital before? I know it sounds scary, maybe even terrifying. The thing about it is that it's a chance to rest. You don't have to worry about keeping yourself safe or taking care of YOU! You will be handle your personal care (of course) and there will be groups, but you don't have to fight to be safe, and there will be someone there all the time if you feel impultuous (sp?) and fear yourself. Be honest with them and they will do what's best for you (even if/when you hate it).
With the group, I would think it depends on how you feel about being able to keep yourself safe and if you can deal (on many levels) with being alone for the time you're not in the group. It's also a consideration about the drive to and from group - if your concentration is good enough to make that drive.
Thank you for sharing your situation with us. As Els said, we won't worry about you (as much) knowing that you'll be getting the best care you can. Your team is
YOUR team and they have only your best interest at heart. Please take under advisement that it is always best to chose to go into the hospital
yourself rather than someone forcing you to go in. If it comes down to your doctor telling you she WILL put you in, tell her that you agree to signing yourself in!
Please take care of yourself! And remember that you have your BF family behind you
Blessings,
Jen
