I remember many of you when we were on the old "about.com" site. My nickname then, was imacrash. Someone who is on this site was able to tell me about teejer's site. It's good to see so many familiar names! I hope to visit often and look forward to talking with all of you.

What I have been up to....well, I've mostly spent time trying to stay alive. I have had kidney failure and was on dialysis for 8 yrs. In Sept. 09', I recieved a kidney transplant! My health has greatly improved, as well as my depression. In 08' my mom died from a long illness. I'm now trying to get back into the swing of things and looking for opportunities to volunteer and go back into the work force.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. How long was her illness? While the loss is still so incredibly devastating, it can be less of a shock when you locically know it's coming. It's still the same mourning, though and I offer my deepest sympathy.
A kidney transplant!!!!!
Things are looking up for you! Even looking to volunteer and considering going back to work is incredible! You've come a long way!!! Again, congratulations!!
Blessings,
Jen

From the transplant, I just feel so much healthier, although I did recently fracture my foot
It's nice to not hook up for dialysis each night.

Sorry it took me awhile to reply.
Gosh, things have been up and down for you. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard even if you know it's coming. I hope you continue to heal from that loss.
And Wow! A kidney transplant. I'm sure that's helped things out so much. How wonderful not to need to hook up every night. Talk about a second chance on life. I really am happy for you.
We do have a chatroom but it's not used too often. The button to get into chat is near the top right. This is the best way to get into chat:
1. Be sure you are logged into the forum
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and see if othrs are logged onto the forum
3. Go to the forum "Chit Chat" and post in the "come into Chat" thread
4. Log into chat and see if nyone comes in.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. After awhile, you will get a feel for who is more a chat person and more likely to come in and chat with you.
The forums overwhelmed me at first. And made me uncomfortable. Over time, I've found the can be awesome.
In chat, what you say goes to a very small number of people and your only reply is what they think of on the spot. When the screen scrolls by, the chance for support scrolls rolls by too.
On the forums, you can be sure that you say what you really mean to say. It also gives more people chances to read your post, really think about it and then also take the time to be sure to reslly say what they mean.
Good to see you again. If you need anything or havee questionss, I can be found essily by PM or the email in my signatue.
